- Synopsis
- An analysis of dogfish anatomy shown by photographs of the living fish, detailed dissections and animated diagrams. A study of the habits and external features of the fish is followed by microphotographs of the alimentary canal, the circulatory system and pharyngeal skeleton, the kidneys, and the reproductive organs. Animated diagrams and photographs illustrate details of fertilisation, egg-case formation, egg-laying, and the development of the embryo. Ends with a detailed account of the skeleton*.
