Flight of Flamingoes, A

Synopsis: The urban expansion of Nakuru in Kenya, unless designed carefully, could threaten the animals in the neighbouring national park, including the flamingoes of Lake Nakuru. As part of its Localising Agenda 21 Initiative, UNCHS (Habitat) is working with the municipality of Nakuru to ensure ecologically sustainable plans for urban development.
