- The stages of taking first impressions. In four parts: 1) Tray selection: deals with the selection of stock trays for impressiontaking. Shows insertion techniques together with the correct position of the dental chair for lower and upper imnpressions; 2) Alginate: shows its use and the modification of the tray periphery prior to impression taking; 3) Impression compound: shows its use, together with its subsequent modification by addition of tracing stick composition; 4) Impression compound with algnate wash: for those situtions where greater accuracy is required of a first impression.
