Finnish Lines

Synopsis

Based on an exhibition held at the 1996 ETN Conference in Manchester, this pack introduces contemporary hand-printed and hand-woven fabrics from Finland organised by Textile Artists TEXO, which was founded in 1956 to develop the status of textile art within the sphere of Finnish industrial design and art as a whole. Thirty Finnish textile artists display the wide range of skills that have equipped them to become creators of unique works of art, product designers and manufacturers.
