Synopsis

About the sponsor’s horizontal, double-ended, DDI (deep drawing and ironing) presses which produce tubular components with single closed ends from flat banks or cups at high-production rates of up to 800 per hour. By using the DDI process, multiple drawing operations with interstage annealing have been replaced in many cases by a single operation, and the finished components display an excellent surface finish and possess close dimensional accuracy.
