Ferriby Boats on the Tides of Time, The

Synopsis
Looks at the Bronze Age Ferriby boats, one of Britain’s most significant maritime discoveries, preserved for thousands of years beneath the mud of the banks of the River Humber. Using documentary film of the recovery and interviews with the amateur archaeologists, the video highlights the sheer human effort involved, and some of the problems the team encountered, including limited preservation techniques and adverse forces of nature.
