Fawcett Library, The

Synopsis
The Fawcett Library at the London Guildhall University is Britain’s main resource for women’s studies and women’s history. The video is based on interviews with three regular users of the library: Mary Stott, journalist; Kate Murphy, writer and broadcaster; and Fred hunter, journalist and historian. They talk about their use of the library and its collections, including books and magazines dating from the 17th century, archives and correspondence of feminists, suffragettes and women’s organisations; photographs, cuttings, albums, scrapbooks, etc. Commentary by Katherine Whitehorn.
