Father and son

Synopsis
Explores the roles of fathers and sones: Colin Browne’s father, formerly a naval officer, suffers from Alzheimer’s disease. Shows his last birthday at home, shortly before he goes into residential care, and weaves back and forth through time in an attempt to reconstruct a shared past that was in many respects marked by incomprehension or absence. As a contrast, other examples of father-son relationships are shown in the context of western society.
