A documentary film on the fall of Berlin in 1945, using Russian archive footage. Covers Churchill visiting the Western Front, the American bridgehead on the Elbe at Magdeburg, the Luftwaffe attacking allied bombers over Berlin, and the devastation caused by Allied bombing, and the armed People’s Army and the Hitler Youth building barricades around Berlin, a visit by Hitler to the Eastern Front, the Russian advance along the Oder towards Berlin, the resistance of the German troops under General Heinrici, the capitulation of Berlin, the suicides of Hitler, Goebbels and Himmler, the surrender of Berlin, and the final partition,
