Synopsis

Structure and life history of the amoeba. The slow movements of the amoeba, the formation of pseudopodia, the general structure, and the junctioning of the contractile vacuole are illustrated. The reproduction by binary fission is depicted by diagrams and the film ends with views of the encystment of the amoeba under adverse conditions.
