Synopsis
Looks at the way ABC, one of the three large American network television companies, interpreted the 1988 Presidential election campaign to the American electorate. Shows editorial and production processes for the primary elections and for Convention coverage, ending with election night on 8 November 1988, including contributions from TV executives, reporters and anchormen. Profiles two of the protagonists, Rev Jesse Jackson and Michael Dukakis.
