Synopsis
Describes scientific investigation into the past. Couples modern techniques in archaeology with the story of early man in Britain, covering the earliest discovery in Kent’s Cavern in Devon, the decorative arts of the Celtic Iron Age and the coming of the Romans. Illustrates the changing way of life with various sites and monuments, and with numerous objects that have been discovered in these sites. Note: The commentary is not of degree-level standard.
