Synopsis
A CD-ROM based on the life and work of Harold E ‘Doc’ Edgerton, the chief developer of the electronic strobe. In three sections: Biography covers biography and the impulses behind his work, Archives his visual work and how it was created, and Strobe Alley contains Edgerton’s own explanatory videos and texts together with experiments looking at physical phenomena such as the dynamics of flowing water, bursting balloons, bouncing balls and rotating fans.
