- Synopsis
- Examines the pratical methods of etching. Introduces Sandy Sykes working in her studio in Essex and then working in Brighton with Terry Gravett developing an etching in a series about dragons. The creation of this etching demonstrates techniques including basic etching, engraving, drypoint and aquatint. Follows the processes from the initial drawing, through the degreasing, coating of the plate, smoking, tracing, etching, cleaning off the ground, to the inking and printing of all three plates in the final work.
