Synopsis
Shows applications of colour chemistry to textiles and fashion and also to the filmless camera. A chemist analyses old paintings as an aid to conservation and another developes water-borne gloss paint for cars. Problems of oil spills, genetic disease and crime are all tackled by different branches of chemistry as is the illegal use of drugs in sport. Also looks at materials of the future being developed by mixed teams of chemists, physicists and engineers.
