- Synopsis
- This last film made by Latvian documentary film-maker Juris Podnieks before he died in 1992, was filmed during the five violent years of ‘perestroika’. It reflects the sweeping social upheavals following the 1989 revolutions throughout Eastern Europe and focuses on the political turmoil and riots in Georgia and the Baltic states that climaxed in the 1991 Moscow coup at the White House.
