- Synopsis
- Charts the new wave of experiments and investigations into the 1800 active thunderstorms that occur on earth at any one time. Looks at ball lightning, ribbon lightning and the strange red ‘sprites’ that shoot up to 150km from the top of thunderstorms, and attempts to create lightning by firing rockets into storm clouds. Shows time-lapse footage of lighting from cameraman Simon Carroll.
