Edward Cullinan: New Buildings in Old Settings
- Synopsis
- Architect Edward Cullinan talks to architectural student Victoria Perry. Using slides and an overhead projector, he describes how western architecture has developed through the ages - from the Greeks to the Romans, to Palladio, to the Romantics, through Cubism, up to the present day. Then, with one of his firm’s own designs, a company headquarters, he demonstrates how a new architecture can be used to respond to an existing situation without being excessively reverent to the past.
