Synopsis
Looks at the work of Eduardo Paolozzi, with much of the material taken from an interview with the artist. In four sequences: 1) PIANO FOR THE BLIND: a blind student experiences sculpture created by Paolozzi especially for the blind; 2) PAOLOZZI: AN INTRODUCTION: Bwork for public spaces - a station, a cooling tower, a conference centre, an oil rig; 3) PAOLOZZI UNDERGROUND: designs for Tottenham Court Road underground station, commissioned in 1979 by London Transport; 4) LOST MAGIC KINGDOMS AND SIX PAPER MOONS: focuses on an exhibition created for the Museum of Mankind that juxtaposed items from the museum’s collection of ‘primitive art’ with works of his own that had been influenced by them.
