Ecstasy and Agony

Synopsis
Looks at ex-professional stuntman Tim Lawrence, diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease at age 34, who uses the illegal drug Ecstasy to relieve the symptoms and restore normal movement. The flooding of the brain with sertonin that results from taking Ecstasy connects with the work of researchers in Manchester, and chemicals in Ecstasy are being investigated for their therapeutic effect.
