Synopsis

Series of three 52-minute programmes on the ecological health of the earth made in conjunction with ecoscientists Paul and Anne Erlich. 1) The Shadow of Humanity: the earth’s ecological systems and how humanity is subjecting them to severe stress and change; 2) The Coming of the Green: history of the ecology movmement and why it became necessary to monitor and change man’s attitude to the environment; 3) The View from Space (aka ‘Visitar’: speculates how a visitor from another world might react to the plant and what its dominant species is doing to it.
