Dynamic Project Planning: A New Approach to Cpm, The Critical Path Method

Synopsis
Explains in detail the critical path method (CPM) of project planning, using as an example a project to construct a new bridge and a new length of road. Uses an original and innovative CPM model that employs time-scaled activities that are able to move within the constraints of the network logic, hence the title DYNAMIC project planning. Describes the project and the procedure of defining the activities, estimating their duration and building the CPM plan. After identifying the critical path and discussing the implications of resources, the new model is introduced and used to show how the plan may help to control the project during its construction.
