Duplication of Complete Dentures: Laboratory Stages (2 Parts)

Synopsis
Part 2: Models are cast of the corrective wash impressions. Alginate moulds of the acrylic replicas of the models are made. After removal of the acrylic replicas and models pouring spruces are cut through the alginate. The models are returned to the mould and moulten wax is poured to produce wax replicas. The acrylic replicas are returned to the models and these are mounted on an articulator. The upper wax replica is replaced by the acrylic replica. Identical mould and shade replacement teeth are set to the lower acrylic replica by progressively replacing the wax teeth. The lower acrylic replica is then replaced by the lower wax replica and the lower teeth are set. The denture wax patterns are finally made ready for finishing.
