Synopsis
Shows how blue eyes and other characteristics are inherited from our parents. Begins with the concept of a ‘blueprint’ to describe the complex structure and function of DNA. Shows where DNA is in the cell and how DNA information becomes the blueprint for protein synthesis. The process is simply but fully illustrated from protein structure, chromosome division, DNA structure and replication, to the use of RNA to transfer the DNA message and the synthesis of proteins with the help of RNA and ribosomes.
