Synopsis
A video of quintessential multicultural, multiethnic America Teja Arboleda’s performance ‘Ethnic Man!', based on his autobiography, addressing cultural, racial and ethnic identity. Arboleda’s father is Filipino-Chinese/African-American/Native American; his mother is Danish/German. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, but grew up in Japan. Using verse, slides, humour and character studies based on his own experiences, he tells how he has learned to embrace the world and overcome the stereotyping and labelling that narrows our understanding and appreciation for our fellow human beings.
