- Shows an examination of a newborn baby, with the paediatrician pointing out the stages of development. While some parts of the body will grow at a fairly constant rate, other parts behave quite differently. Eyes are fully grown at 18 months, whereas the reproductive system will mature some 14 years later. Discusses the importance of appropriate stimuli to encourage development and ensuring regular developmental checks.
