- Synopsis
- Support video for course T204, in four parts: 1) looks at International Automotive Design (IAD), the automotive consultancy that designed the Mini MPV, a concept car. Examines the design stage of the car; 2) how designers at Reynard Racing Cars Ltd, the world’s largest manurfacture of racing cars, work with new materials and bring new designs to manufacture in the shortest possible time; 3) looks at the longbolt at Rover, Longbridge, the design of which lay at the centre of Rover’s £125m project in the 1980s to design a new engine; 4) looks at the context of design within the competitive mass manufacture, from the point of view of a representative of IAD.
