Delivery Room Care of the Newborn Child, The

Synopsis
Examines variations in condition and management of the newborn child. Advises on a procedure for performing resuscitation techniques. Demonstrates an infant cadaver intubation, cardiac massage, intercardiac injection and insertion of umbilical catheter. Provides a clinician’s-eye view of laryngeal anatomy as seen through a laryngoscope when inserting an ET tube. Also includes genuine resuscitation footage captured by a remotely controlled camera positioned in the delivery room, and includes a clear demonstration of automatic reflex activity following primary apnoea. Intended to be used as a practical guide to delivery room practice.
