Synopsis: A series of dramatised boardroom sequences set in a hypothetical company illustrate how a statistical consultant operates in conjunction with industry. The problems concern the manufacture and supply of integrated circuit boards, and the consultant approaches the problems through the use of decision tree analysis. Explains the setting up of the decision tree and calculates the financial consequences of each action. The results are then presented to the board.
