Synopsis

Shows the respiratory and other reflexes present in the decerebrate cat. Emphasis is placed on the somatic brainstem reflexes, including respiratory response to carbon dioxide, cough reflex and swallowing. The classic decerebrate rigidity and spinal reflexes present are also demonstrated.
