Synopsis
Looks at an outbreak of streptococcus A that began in Stroud, Gloucestershire, in May of 1994, described as flesh-eating bacteria. Examines how the superbug scare happened, how hospital staff handled it and the population reacted, and how another deadly strain of bacteria is active.
