Discusses the discovery of the AIDS virus and its mode of spread. Gives advice on safe sexual practices and the precautions to be taken. Covers drug addiction, maternal to foetal transmission and the screening in the Blood Transfusion Services. A clinical section deals with the signs and symptoms of the AIDS disease. Statistics, morbidity and mortality, psychological features and nursing care are also covered.
