- Synopsis
- Illustrates the management of cardiac arrest in a hospital patient. Shows the diagnosis of cardiac arrest by the nursing staff and demonstrates the correct procedures to be followed by them. Sequences show the clearing of the patient’s airway, expired air resuscitation, closed chest massage and Ambu Bag ventilation. After the arrival of the crash team, the film illustrates how the nursing staff assist the anaesthetist and his team by continuing massage and preparing drugs. Also shown is the setting up of the ECG, defibrillation, and what drugs are used to resuscitate the patient.
