Corporate Financial Strategy Vc1
- Synopsis
- A course video comprising four sequences: 1) Project Appraisal - looks at the processes of appraisal, using a new production line for Cadbury’s Buttons as a case study; 2) The Corporate Treasurer/Managing Risks - examines the role of the corporate treasurer in managing the liquid resources of an organisation in an increasingly complex financial world. Covers the day-to-day issues that the treasurer has to deal with such as cash management and the corporate borrowing policy, and looks at the currency risks facing companies involved in international trade; 3) Takeover - charts key stages in the recent history of Jaguar, from its privatisation in 1984 to its eventual takeover by Ford; 4) Winners or Losers - compares the objectives and strategies of three very different insurance companies, two British and one French, examining how they are dealing with expansion and how they are trying to deal with the new Single Market.

- NB. As of May 2016 Open University Worldwide are no longer distributing DVDs. They have posted this message on their website: ‘Unfortunately Open University Worldwide Limited has decided that product sales are no longer viable given the reduced funding to Higher Education institutions and diminishing demand for the products we have traditionally stocked. At present the Open University Students Association (OUSA) will continue to sell the "Good Study Guide", and we are in discussion with other possible distributors to continue to make The Open University’s products available for purchase. As soon as we have any information on other channels of distribution we will update this notice’. Some products are still available via second hand dealers on Amazon.co.uk
