Synopsis
Presents a picture of coronary heart disease and shows what can be done to reduce the risks. Divided into three sections: 1) Biology: introduces the workings of the heart and the disease process; 2) Prevention: describes those who are at increased risk and ways of reducing the risks; 3) Investigations and Treatment: investigations, treatment and rehabilitation. Emphasises that modern techniques have much to offer patients with established disease.
