Synopsis
Looks at the past, present and future of the world’s coral reefs, which are the oldest and richest natural community on earth and a rich source of information about the meteorological history of the world and are now under threat. Begins in a fossil mine in the Italian Dolomites and travels to the depths of the South China Sea, the Florida keys, the Red Sea and looks at the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, which offers one of the few hopes for the survival of coral.
