Series introducing various computer applications, aimed at those with some knowledge of computers. Presented by Fiona Adam. In seven parts: 1) Word Processing: asks if using a word processor can help inmprove one’s writing; 2) Databases: how databases can help diverse organisations manage information; 3) Spreadsheets: using computer spreadsheets in different businesses; 4) Communications and Integrated Systems: how a network for chools can provide support and train teachers in new subjects; 5) Design: how to create three-dimensional models on a computer and how to use and Apple Mac to produce designs for a range of goods; 6) Multi-Media: how a PC helps bring archaeological sites to life and how a multimedia arcade game and raise HIV awareness; 7) Troubleshooting: how a disastrous computer error may mean rebuildingan operation from scratch.
