Computer Interfacing (Provisional)
- Synopsis
- Background knowledge required to understand the principles underlying computer interfacing and carry out some simple experiments on computer data acquisition and control. Based on standard PC achitecture, the program explains, using animated illustrations, the roles of components such as the data bus, address bus control lines, address decoder, analog to digital and digital to analog converters, and data multiplexors. Intended to complement or replace existing teaching. Approximately 3-4 hours of teaching material.
