Communicate or else
- Synopsis
- The failure to see ourselves as others see us whether as nations or individuals is one way, though only one way, of falling into unproductive forms of conflict. The film centres round some of the processes of misunderstanding which go on in a conflict between a student and a tutor. This conflict, small in itself, echoes the issues of power, equality, responsibility and human dignity which feature in the larger and more disastrous conflicts that are seen throughout the film. Designed as an introduction to conflict structures such as stereotyping and misperceptions.
