Commendable Crow, The

Synopsis
A study of the chough, a rare member of the crow family, which is sparsely distributed over mountain regions of Europe, Asia and Africa, but in Britain is confined to a few rugged coastal areas in Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Follows the nesting and breeding of a pair of chough in an inaccessible sea cave on RSPB’s reserve at South Stack and shows how the cliff area is shared with wheatears, buzzards and, more importantly, with rabbits which crop the grass making it easier for choughs to probe for insects. Young choughs are preyed on by buzzards and peregrines.
