- Synopsis
- Composer and explorer David Fanshawe’s choral work ‘African Sanctus’ is a setting of the Latin Mass incorporating traditional African music. This film presents a performance of the newly updated and expanded version, together with film retracing Fanshawe’s 1960s’ and 1970s’ music-collecting journeys through Egypt, Sudan, Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.
