Cold Fusion
- Synopsis
- On March 23, 1989, scientists Martin Fleischmann and Stanley Pons announced that they had harnessed the nuclear fusion process that powers the sun in an apparently simple piece of laboratory equipment at room temperature. They bypassed scientific publication and presented cold fusion direct to the press. The programme tells the story of the response by scientists and the media and introduces American and British scientists who tried to duplicate the experiment.
