Clinical Examination of the Knee

Synopsis
Begins with the importance of an accurate history and covers the six main complaints relating to the knee, namely pain, swelling, locking, instability and giving way, stiffness and deformity. Follows with a demonstration of checking alignment of tibia with femur, of muscle bulk and muscle wasting, of swelling due to effusion, of fixed flexion deformity and flexion range of the knee, abnormal movements of the patella, instability of the knee from various causes.
