Clinical Decision Making

Synopsis
Interactive tutorial examining: 1) processes affecting decision making (using probabilites, Bayes theorem, heuristics, confidence, framing, primacy and recency); 2) assessing performance (tools, variation, policy capturing); 3) avoiding bias in decision making; 4) rationalising decision making (decision analysis, decision trees, sensitivity analysis); 4)outcome assessment (visual analogue, time trade-off, standard gamble). Uses animation, interaction, text and graphics. Approximately 5 hours of teaching material.
