Synopsis

The City of London is home to the Bank of England, the Stock Exchange, investment banks and headquarters of the major high street banks. The programme describes the activities of these financial institutions, including money markets, foreign exchange, derivatives and insurance markets and shows them at work. Explains their self-regulation. Also shows the role of the Corporation of London, which serves this major financial centre.
