Synopsis
A dramatisation of Virgil’s epic poem ‘The Aeneid’, translated by Cecil Day-Lewis and adapted by Tom Holland. Tells the story of the legendary origin of the Roman Empire through the experiences of the Trojan Prince Aeneas who, according to legend, escaped after the destruction of Troy and led his people to western Italy to found a new civilisation.
