Synopsis: Examines the works of architects Palladio and Sinan. Contemporaries living in rival cities, the two are often credited as the fathers of two very different types of architecture - Western and Islamic. Looks at Palladio’s Redentore church in Venice and Sinan’s Sokullu Mehmet Pasha mosque in Istanbul and asks why the reputations of these two architects have remained paramount.
