Synopsis

Introduces the measurement of the ‘dip’ and strike’ of rock strata. Visits locations in the Mendip Hills of southern England, including the Cheddar Gorge. Dip and strike measurements, combined with field observations and the information contained on the geological map, all reconstruction of the main stages in the geological history of the area.
