Changing Practice: Moving on from Benzodiazepines

Synopsis
Benzodiazepine is the generic terms for a group of drugs known as minor tranquillisers. Their long-term use causes dependency and a range of disabling side effects. Withdrawal from them needs to be gradual, and many people need significant support during the withdrawal process. With contributions from GPs, specialists and patients, the video looks at the needs of people withdrawing from benzodiazepines and the support that specialist tranquilliser projects can offer.
