Changing Childbirth

Synopsis

Shows the different ways in which care providers around the country are putting the Changing Childbirth initiative into practice, and hears from women about the care they have received and what was important to them. Shows how the provision of informed choice and continuity of care and carer have been undertaken. Demonstrates the importance of good communications and teamwork among the different professions involved in maternity care. GPs, midwives and obstetricians present their views of the initiative and their experience of making the principles a reality.
